OMGGGG we are so pumped that you’re interested in working with us!! Unless you’ve done a bunch of photoshoots (and I mean, who has), you’re probably wondering how exactly this whole photoshoot thing works. Even if you have done a shoot before, each photographer does things a lil bit differently, so we wanted to give you the scoop on what it’s like to work with us!

First things first - our shooting style!

We are documentary-style photographers. You’re probably thinking ok, great, but what the heck does that even mean? Pretty much, we like to capture real moments, or document what’s actually happening in front of us rather than setting up highly posed images. We still set up some loose poses but we wanna see real, genuine emotion so we use prompts rather than strict poses.

Ok great, but I’m super awkward in front of the camera!

Maybe it’s you, maybe it’s your partner, maybe it’s both of you. We get told before pretty much every shoot that someone involved isn’t very comfortable getting their pic taken. We totes get it - we’re hella awkward in front of the camera, and ok, pretty much alllll the time. So it can be super intimidating to think about gettin in front of your very own personal paparazzi. We really love getting to know our couples, and will do whatever we can to make you feel comfortable! We send out a questionnaire before our shoots so we know what you like and what’s not your thang, and so we can have the inside scoop on who you really are! We’re also totes down to act a fool in order to break that tension. And we make sure to always bring along some tunes to get everyone feelin a bit more relaxed!

Ok, this is great, but I’m still nervous!

If you’re booking us for a wedding, we always have a consultation before your big day so that we can all get to know each other and go through the schedule for the day. We’re happy to give recommendations on how to make your day flow, too! A photoshoot of any sort is really just time to spend with the most special people in your life, whether it’s your kids or your partner. We def make our sessions laidback and low-key.
