Couples Session 101

You did it - you finally convinced your S/O to do a photoshoot with you and booked your photographer, but now what? These sessions don’t happen too often, either because one person is just super against it (like our boo’s are) or maybe it’s just time, or money, so you might as well make sure to make the most of it!

Below are some quick tips on how to prepare for your session:

1) Come to your session with an open mind

If you booked your session with us, we’ll probably ask you do some weird things – but seriously just trust us!⁣

2) Arrive early

If you can, try to be there early so you aren’t stressed out⁣. The last thing you want is to show up late, all flustered, hot, sweaty, pissed off, and worried that you’ve just waisted some of the time you’re paying your photographer for.

Also it’s very likely that your photographer (or us) has booked a sunset time with you, and if that’s the case then time is really of the essence because once that sun sets there’s nothing we can do.

⁣3) Be in the moment

Be in the moment. I know for most, having a camera in your faces isn’t natural, but you have your boo there, so try to focus on them and less on the camera.⁣

4) Bring an outfit change!

It helps gives some variety to your photos and can also switch up the mood. Think maybe something a lil more fancy and then a lil more casual? Depending on the outfit as well, this can also change up the types of prompts we give you. I’m sure you don’t want to be rolling around in the grass in your $200 Aritzia skirt amirite?⁣

5) Accessorize!

If a full on outfit change isn’t an option, bringing some simple accessories can help give some subtle changes to your look. Think cute sun hat, jacket, scarves, or better yet, go full out and have your fur-ball!⁣
